Durham University Charity Fashion Show (DUCFS)

2020

This event, which is organised annually by a part of Durham University, was this year in awareness of the exploitation of garment workers and labour rights in the production stages of the fashion industry, with funds going to the charitable organisations "STOP THE TRAFFIK Global" and "Fashion Revolution". The set of shows is both a call to action for designers and creators, and the future of the industry, through the charities. The event took place in Durham, UK, and raised a phenomenal amount of money towards such an incredibly worthy cause, which speaks to my driving ethos as a designer, in which every collection demands an ethical and moral concept. My collection itself, in the dark anonymity of the pieces, stands for every neglected, under-respected individual, and my dedication to being part of an ethical and fair industry.
