The 3D Patterns required need to be created in Adobe Illustrator so they can be Lasercut prior to shaping the, and therefore the fastenings needed to be understood and considered across the designs, considering gaps between panels and the nature of closures. The panels were based on measurements made of the previously-created acrylic corset, and the considerations of the variance of this design to create the suitable appearance and nature of understanding of the final garment. These then executed the cutting on the lasercutter, all the off-cuts also being collected as additions to the piece- which has created the most interesting pieces in the past. This will be a laborious but hopefully rewarding process.
